A large field of efs rats were on the start line for the important qualifying triathlon to gain points for the World ITU Age Group Championships . This is to be held on the Gold Coast in September 2018.

Club tent was up ,conditions were good with a light breeze and no stingers in the shallow tranquil waters of Rockingham Beach and plenty of eager efs triathlon club members ready to race.

Its a fast flat course so race pace expected to be on for all...a wade start out to the drop off shelf and its was on for the swim - short wade in to T1 racks then the flat bike course. Back into T2 which had the run exit less than 25 mtrs from main transition area (depending on where your bike was racked )

Loop run course saw some great running and podiums gaining maximum points for Ron, Malcolm, Richard and in the girls for Kim . Whilst many others were just outside a top 3 finish but picked up more valuable points for their Worlds totals after the Hilarys Tri in December
