A nice little aside trip from our daily training environment in Spain . Off to the Vuelta (Tour of Spain ) to watch the pro teams in action. Throughout the week in training sessions at Guadix the group had often been working in 38C -40 C afternoon peaks - as Spain has had little rain over the last 3 months
So we decided to go over to the Stage 15 climb start at Sierra Nevada to get them going up and then all of us quickly move over 1km away to see them loop around and re-climb 21km @ 8% up to a summit finish at Sierra Nevada ski station .
First of the climbs the peleton went thru all together and then they really splintered up the next climb and its downhill. Plenty of team car drafting assistance observed after that hammering.
